Returns
Dear Gladys wants you to love your purchase as much as she does. In addition to your Consumer Rights, if you are not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it to us for a credit exchange or refund, provided the following conditions are met:
- Goods must be returned within returned within 7 business days of dispatch with a copy of the returns form. (There is a link to the returns form included on your invoice).
- The merchandise must be in its original condition, unworn, unused and unwashed.
- All labels and tags must still be attached.
Making a return
To return merchandise to our online store, simply download and complete the returns form from the link provided on your invoice.
Please make sure that adequate postage is included. Cash on Delivery returns will not be accepted. We advise that you send the merchandise back to us using a method of postage which can be tracked. We cannot be responsible for lost, damaged or missing parcels. All goods are your responsibility until they reach our store.
To save on postage returns can also be made in person to our store in Northcote, Melbourne. Please remember to bring your invoice and a copy of the completed return form with you. Our store staff will pass your returns and form to the online staff for processing. Please be advised our store staff will not be able to refund, credit or exchange your purchase immediately.
Goods without a Dear Gladys Returns form attached may not be accepted.
Return credits, exchanges & refunds
Dear Gladys is happy for you to choose either a credit in the form of a gift voucher to the value of your purchase (postage not included), a refund of your purchase (postage not included) or an exchange where possible (exchange not available on vintage items). In the case of a refund we will refund your original method of payment. The refund will exclude postage charges (except in the case of faulty goods). The refund will be processed within 14 days of the returned merchandise being received by us. Please note that it may then take 3-5 working days for the refund to reach your account.
Faulty goods
We do our very best at Dear Gladys to make sure that all our customers receive quality merchandise. Vintage clothing and accessories have lived long exciting lives and as such they often have flaws which add to their character (just like us!) Please thoroughly check the description and photos of your items before purchasing. However, if you purchase an item from us which you believe is faulty, or different from the description on our website, please contact us on the phone number below and we will help you to resolve the issue as quickly as we can.

* In the unlikely event that an ordered item is not available or we are unable to fulfill your order, we will notify you within 2 business days to arrange an agreeable alternative item or a full refund.
*This returns policy applies to goods purchased from the Online Store. Please consider that with items purchased from the physical store we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
Your consumer rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
